Re: Keagan Quitting Newcastle?
The problem is taking orders from that professional know-nothing cockney thug Dennis Wise....... it's an open secret that Wise (NOT Keegan) insisted on giving Barton 'a last chance'.
Sky is confirming the BBC story - Keegan not sacked, expected back tomorrow to take charge of training, etc.
Ashley's a Londoner, Wise is a Londoner - only Keegan has the Toon fans' passion, and a feel for the history and tradition of the club. They need him - who else who's any good would go there to be bossed about by Wise?

It seems likely that Kevin may be leaving the Toon Army but not necessarily at his own request. Although he has a reputation for quitting before the job is done, it seems that Chairman Ashley no longer thinks he is the man for the job. The good news for Spugsy & Co. is that there are plenty of good, unemployed managers around...not least Frank Rikheart (excuse my spelling).
Aye sounds like the board have been taking the piss since day one with him, selling players he didn't want to sell, buying players he never wanted, bringing in that odious little twat Wise pretty much above his head.
Seems he did it to appease the fans for a while, I bet he's not in the crowd this weekend, he'll get torn apart.

So is Keegan staying or going? It's all as clear as mud.
