One would automatically call it a case of cultural misunderstanding by non native English speakers but I think it goes further than that. Do any of you get the feeling that Arabs in general aren't good at tolerating humour that involves them because they think of it as an affront?

One would automatically call it a case of cultural misunderstanding by non native English speakers but I think it goes further than that. Do any of you get the feeling that Arabs in general aren't good at tolerating humour that involves them because they think of it as an affront?

Those comments would suggest the moron community is strong on that site. How long have they been reading a satirical online newspaper and thinking it's a serious news site? Would they read "The Onion" and really think it was "America's finest news source."

Whats hilarious is how despite repeated comments pointing to the satirical nature of the website, it doesn't seemed to have much effect as plenty of follow up comments still take it seriously.
