Is it just me, or is it really quiet since Ramadan?
Not sure about other industries, but I am hitting walls trying to call people last week and this. Seems just about everyone went away after Eid and are back in August.

Its the same in the Kuwaiti Sandpit - there is no volatility in the markets

Speculation is rife in Dubai about another big crash. Then again these speculations happen every year so what to believe?
Perhaps the UAE signed up to Saudi's mischief over Qatar as a red herring ploy to obscure the real status of the UAE economy? Beyond that I have no idea why the UAE got involved instead of remaining neutral like Kuwait and Oman.

My excuse for being quiet is that I got struck down with some kind of viral fever for 5 hellish days. It was like entering a native american sweat lodge and eating various hallucinogens to pass the test in to warrior hood, except much less fun than that sounds
