We've just got back from UK and it seems to be bloody expensive to eat/drink out?

It was my first time back this year and I'm not sure if it is living here that makes it look so pricey.

Example - 5 dishes and 2 glasses of water in Yo Sushi was just under 19 quid. 6 pounds for a Sapporo beer in there.

It is aye, the Toon isn't cheap at all, and I now read that british gas have put their prices up by 35%, twats.

yeah, I ordered some flowers for my mam online, cheapest you could get very £30 and they weren't great like, so I spent £50, and I mean, they're only flowers you know? Christ, I bought mrs spugsy some lovely ones over here for a quarter of the price.

now flowers are the one thing i think are loads more expensive here...i always had fresh flowers at home, but don't bother here...you must have got a good deal...

Actually I agree with you......skimmed whole thread and its all relevant cost of living comparisons.....no deviation.
