'Not Jag' looking is what I thought of too.
Looks like Jag took design cues from Maserati , for the front , but Jaguar's execution is no where near as attractive as the Maser.

What sounds better, I drive a jaguar, or I drive a Maserati?
No contest really.
And it's penned by Ian McCallum (may not have spelled that correctly) who did the original DB7.

Anyway, the wheelbase is too short. Compare it with an E Type, XJS or even XJ-C. Too short and stumpy, Like a Maserati Biturbo Spyder, in fact...
And you think it's going to be cheap? Long time since that was the Jaguar USP.

My thoughts exactly! Someone obviously liked the Maserati 4200GT front end.

oh for heaven's sake - it looks like any other italian car. I was posting a picture of a cheap as chips Fiat (Barchetta). Lovely little car, could max 220kph on the German autobahns as although it only had a 1.8 engine, it weighed less than a tonne.

Used to have a bright yellow 20v Turbo Coupe, that was fun!
