It's fine to read all sources, question the sources, and come to your own informed opinion.

It's not fine to close your eyes and ears and allow only specific sources to inform you.

It's also like the alcohol analogy: If you don't drink, you won't understand how the minds of everyone else around you works (that was more relevant, however, back home)
