well why not? I was young and she was hot and also a princess!
ofcourse there were others too in those days of pre-internet or just-starting-internet ; Mira Sorvino, Uma Thurman, Naomi Campbell, that girl from Fresh Prince of Belair (the elder one!) etc etc

Things would be so much better with President Cameron or First Comrade Salmond though. No tax payer need ever feel like money is wasted ever again, and TGFKASE could spend his 56p toff rebate on half a 330ml bottle of Irn Bru.

The rounding down argument is poor , the total cost is the cost . Not that i'm really for or against the Royals . The money could be better spend on something like the Indian Space Programme or mixed gender toilets in primary schools

And, to be clear, the previous post is an 'opinion'...
Would be interested to see how people perceive the cost/benefit ratio for having a Royal family...

I would suppose that the tourists around Buckingham palace etc are worth a fair bit of cash though.

Plus the reception that they receive in most countries abroad is good for the UK. It is usually front page headlines when a Royal is visiting, or due to visit. Case in point being Harry's trip to NZ, which has only just been surpassed by the baby news.
I must admit that I prefer the younger lot to the older ones.
