Default Islands for picnics when boating in AD

Morning all

Does anyone know of or have any links for islands that you can moor at or bank the boat to use the beach?
We've done lulu island but when the weathers not too calm the sea is very choppy so hard to access

TIA

the islands are all private. you can pay to go to al maya.
lulu is hardly very far... all the other islands will be much further out... just find a spit of sand to moor up on.

Thanks. No lulu isn't fat just hard to get to when the weather isn't very calm, the sea gets too choppy around the corniche way.

We did find a few little bits of sand just wondered if there were anything bigger

Bahraini Island (which has the Al Maya resort) is free to land on.

Pretty much all the islands to the SW of the main island can be moored on, though many aren't exactly exciting, and most are protected from the prevailing waves coming across the Gulf (I have also had quite exciting experiences trying to reach Lulu when the sea was rougher than expected...). As already mentioned, Bahraini (anywhere other than the actual hotel beach) - and around the back has some nice spots. Avoid also the first one on the right as you go down the channel towards Bahraini, as there is a palace tucked away there and fierce security. Also Futaisi can be moored on.

Thanks I will have to google these places, google maps is pretty good for the sea too.
We got stuck in massive waves on Friday trying to get towards jet ski bit near intercon! Had to turn back as the waves were too big n the front end of the boat was dipping in them 😁

It's getting pretty hot now tho so may have to wait till after summer
