Iran to close Strait of Hormuz?
 

Sabre (or rather Shamshīr) rattling or threat, and if the Iranians do go ahead and close it, even for a short time, what will be the world's (read USA) response when all of Qatar's gas and most of Saudi's, Iraq's, Kuwait's and UAE's oil goes through there?

Don't be naive..The list of countries who have been threatening Iran goes somewhat further than the USA.

But it would be very serious, and this I suspect is perhaps why it hasn't happened yet and won't until they can secure the straits without a doubt within a short time of attacking Iran. The hint may lie in their troop buildup.

There is a reason the us navy has a base in the gulf and a carrier group in the Indian ocean
