Yes I have read it and believe his biggest return is from his book sales and speeches.

He is clever in that he has indentified an audience of expats that are subjected to the double glazing type selling pressure from failed used car salesman that are over here pushing them into (as Meow rightly says) 15-25 year front loaded commission plans, that used to work if you knew you had a career job for life, but not in this day and age and especially as an expat.

Not convinced by his heroic cancer beating."i run 20km a day" bollocks. for me that just makes it smell fishy
Not a huge fan then haha. He does seem to make a lot of sense though? I couldn't see any flaws in his logic. Or maybe I'm just easily convinced?

Nope. Auto buy was set for 400. They got to about 402 I think.

NEARLY bought in yesterday, but waited for news and Chinese news was bad. Broker's can't make their mind up on Anglo because the De Beers business is basically their 400 price, the rest of the business is being stripped, sold and worked on. No dividend this year, debt manageable with asset sales (45 locations to 16) and improving commodity prices.

I watched it slide yesterday. I think it's an impressive swift rise but I think it's built on not a lot. I think if commodities take a hit even briefly it will tumble, China says the market is slower (like yesterday) it will close down (yesterday closed at 530.90 -97.20 (-15.48%)). I think it's fragile but there is real value there. I just happen to think the real value is anywhere around the 400 mark.

But, let's be frank - that's built on what I think, what I've read, opinions I've read and digested and from doing a bit of research on them and what they've done.

I'm really nervous about the Brexit stuff. It's not that far away and could do all sorts to the markets. Fundamentals kind of go out the window.

Great post Scamp, think you are spot on there.

Do not think this rally is sustainable and will come back down twice as fast

It's also a prime candidate for triple-trouble;

1. Normal market effects at the moment (news, commodities etc)
2. US opens mid afternoon and if bad, AAL bad.
3. Day traders now looking at this as a fantastic stock to short.

Should drive that price down to a nice level. Maybe my 400 is generous, but I'll be looking to get into it and holding medium - long term.

Plus ECB statement tomorrow

if they don't move to pump more money into the system then the markets will tank again.

Look what happened after last months announcement

AND - IMF gave everyone a hammering yesterday.
AND - Article today talking about BoE considering negative interest rates. (I've only seen a snippet and not dug much further and read anything in detail though)

I still believe that the medium-term (like 3-4 days) direction is down due to people not buying into the supply cuts.

Still a good reminder to me of why I don't normally bother with oil and why you should only stick to one index you know well.
