all those things are mentioned in that document...

I am wondering if this means that Ramadan will get strickter again...over the past years more and more places have stayed open during the day and you could see people on the beach for instance eating and drinking...maybe that will change now...

What about when locals greet each other by kissing sometimes, they either do that nose thing or kiss each other on the cheeks - is that now banned then?

I also like the rule about queuing - being British I'm all for it, but can't see the Locals going for it, or other Asians for that matter, they just don't get it.

I feel sorry for the cyclists... they are restricted to using cycle routes - but has anyone ever seen one?!

Will the paper bags they're making us carry alcohol in be brown?

If you read the rules I think it says that married couples are allowed to hold hands but unmarried couples are not. Presumably two Indian males would not constitute a married couple so they had better watch out.

When we flew back to Sharjah a few weeks ago these two little tarts just walked right to the front of the passport queue, in front of me and mrs spugsy, in fact she stood on my foot, I had to give her a gentle shove,

It was good to see the local guy come over and send them back to the queue, they really thought they could just do what they wanted.

And they weren't locals either.

Even if they are locals they should still stand in the queue like the rest of the people. Didnt realise that they have the right to push in so does that mean that when I gave up the british passport I gave up the whole staning in whte queue thing EXCELLENT

no-one pushed in in front of me, no-one, no matter if they are local or not.

Spugsy, I think I have told everyone on here the story of the Scandinavian guy who refused to let a local jump the queue at Immigration. He was deported within one week, simply because the local happened to be well connected. Think before you act over here.

There is a cycle path down Jumeirah Beach Road, not that i'd want to use though. Drivers along there are totally insane!

The kissing cheeks greeting is arab tradition its not just UAE.

As with queues, its like people here don't know what that word means.

Well that drugs rule pretty much rules out many modern medical practises . Whoever wrote that code of conduct should be taken out into the desert (or man made forest) and killed until dead.
