Importing a car from UK - UAE

I am toying with the idea of bringing my car over to the UAE, with fuel prices so high in the UK its not the best time to sell, if i were to import my car does anyone know the costs, rules etc etc....

Well that's burst my bubble, is it actually illegal though ? Ive seen right hand drive buses, or is that a
completly different scenario

that's what i've always been told, but it could be wrong...don't know about the buses, do you mean the tourist ones, maybe they have special dispensation...

Arent they all the old london double deckers though? They are bound to be allowed just for that fact.

Get a SORN ffrom the friendly DVLA and forget about your car. the SORN will cost you about £70 a year. Compare that to import costs....
