Try ' A game of two halves' the autobiography of Paul Lake the ex Man City wonder kid , good decent read and 'An Epic Swindle ' by Brian Reade , that's about the two Yanks that bought Liverpool , also quite a good read.

Just started 'Life', Keith Richards autobiography. Re-reading Carl Sagans 'Cosmos', a great book. Recently finished 'The border trilogy' by Cormac McCarthy, recommended.

Some good reads for anyone interested in non-stodgy history:
Persian Fire by Tom Holland. The rise and fall of Cyrus, Darius & Xerxes.
Empire by Naill Ferguson. The British Empire as founded on the basis of piracy.

I read 'books' but now, they are empty and without lessons in life.
The price of paper has just gone up 60%.
Quality of 'books' hasn't improved.

For all who live in the ME, I'd suggest reading 'Flight of the intellectuals' by Paul Berman.
The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band, the autobiography of Motley Crue..need I say more?
And to top it off..get reading 'Foucault's Pendulum' by Umberto Eco. Your brain explodes by the end of the first page. If that's too much, Kurt Vonnegut writes hilarious stories about Kilgore Trout.

Incredible reading.....Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke described them as having "a combined IQ of room temperature". I'd say they all needed a good slap, except they were always giving each other the same, the dwarf excluded.
