I am thinking of a new car

I am considering selling the Pajero and getting a new car, something small and sporty and require your comments and input. Been to Peugeot and the one I like is 120k and have been advised not to bother with Peugeot's dodgy gear boxes apparently. I am going to see a SEAT Leon later this week, I had a SEAT in the UK and was very happy with it. The other option that I quite like is the Mitsubishi ASX (not sporty but good price etc).

Thank you

(budget less than 100k)

Do you want 4WD small & sporty? then RAV4 2 door
Do you want city small & sporty? then Golf GTi

VW R32 (maybe now called Golf R?). GTi's fun, R's mega--sweetest auto gearbox you can find, 4WD, subtle styling. Mega.

R32 stopped being manufactured for Mk6. I have a Mk6 GTi, lovely car.

i had a seat alhambra it was brill, very sporty especially as it was a minivan when the kids were little, u would get the white landcruisers/patrols trying to race you from the lights, guess who always had a much better acceleration than a 4x4. it was brill servicing here as well, but now the service center has gone in auh but it was an excellent car.

The R32 was the peak of the lot...To replace that with a turbo is outrageous - they have to tone the turbos down in the GCC vs. Europe too.

Damn environmentalists.

Why wait? They have been out for ages.

Also if there aren't any about you can get the Subaru version which is the same car (exactly) just with a different badge.

As for a Golf GTi..... yawn! Tis hardly original. And all in all, they're pretty soft. Quick yes but a they look after you. My mate has just got a Megane R26..... ooft! He says its significantly faster all through the range and much more 'involved' than the Golf GTI ever was (he's got a GTi too).
