British Expats - Hypocrisy

J-Lo's upset the Moroccan authorities with an "overtly sexual" display during a concert here.

There are some fantastic cabarets to be seen here, especially in Marrakech. I enjoyed Fuego Latino (apart from the appalling service) last weekend--and last year also, with my family--which has an all-singing all-dancing cabaret, including Brazilian dancers and a Moroccan belly-dancer have a dance-off. Fairly large amounts of flesh on view, but all done in the best possible taste.

Another restaurant-cum-cabaret I've visited (again, with families there) includes really scantily-clad belly dancers parading between the tables--beautiful girls, with superb bodies.

I'm really failing to see the distinction here. Morocco's generally quite laid back, but it seems that those creating a stink haven't actually looked much at what goes on around them on a daily basis. And that's considering only the main-stream places--although it's largely shrugged-off the reputation it had in the first half of the 20th century, Morocco still has places that would make J-Lo appear like the Madonna (no, not that one).
