Husbands and wives..........

What's the deal with all these newbies (and occasionally not so newbies) posting on behalf of their husbands?

I have lost count of the number of threads which begin "I'd like some advice. My husband has been offered a job and we were wondering......".

Can't these husbands use the internet themselves?

What's the story here? Too embarrassed to admit they need advice?? Is it one of those 'a man never needs to use a map or ask for directions' things?

Now if you'll just excuse me, I have to go and reply to alexalexa whose husband has been offered a job in Ab Dab............

So posting on here is a 'mere' women's activity..........?

Surprising post, coming from a woman...............

Would you employ someone who needs his wife to check out employment contract details etc on his behalf?

no, only a woman could make that post...my hubbie would never post on a board like this, and checking out general details on packages etc can be done by a woman, we aren't all bimbos you know...

Wasn't suggesting that - I was actually implying something very different, as I think you realise....

Let me offer you some advice, the Japanese have a word for this. It’s Judo - the art of conquering by yielding. The Western equivalent of judo is, ‘Yes, dear.’ :D

Neither would my wife............ so where does that leave us?

And what kind of 'real man' asks wifey to go on to a forum full of strangers and ask how good the package is............... which about a dozen or so have done in the last three months, IIRC.

Do your own research, guys - MM's and MH's hubbies would........

What other types of lilt are there?

I'd usually buy it from shops but...if your thinking what I'm thinking we'll need ski-masks, bolt cutters and a transit van. Think you can organise that for Sunday? :p
