Well I would disagree. In the past 23 something years of my fasting, I think we have had an average of 60/40 of 30 days / 29 days. It all depends on the moon actually but more so on which date the Hajj should fall. The Saudis are very very meticulous about the date of the day of Hajj as obviously a LOT of planning of the logistics goes into running such a large event. Last years crush of thousands of innocents notwithstanding, I think they usually do pretty well in carrying off such a large scale and multi day event with not too huge snaffus. (By the by, the date of this years Hajj is 11 September. I expect a lot of hype to be created by the Media over it and the world security apparatus would definitely be on high alert that day )

This year 99% bet is on Eid being on the 6th of July so Wednesday, Thursday, Friday off for some and Saturday off for most....wooohooo!
