Re: How's Ramadan going?
Easiest time of the year at our place. Less happening so no out of hours call-outs yet (touch wood), 9 hour days cut to 5, 1pm finish, pub open, footy on, mocking pic of Stella sent to mate in Doha.

Re: How's Ramadan going?
it is going swimmingly , the reduced hours are particularly refreshing .
driving here in Muscat can be downright dangerous sometimes .
It is 100% dry so I guess blue bookers stocked up on booze

Typical day at work first week of Ramadan: five hours of productivity and one hour of faffing around.
Typical day at work second week of Ramadan: four hours of productivity and two hours of faffing around.
Typical day at work third week of Ramadan: three hours of productivity and three hours of faffing around.
Next week will be interesting

Staying away from close contact with any fasting staff member, the lack of oral hygiene is not for the faint hearted.

Re: How's Ramadan going?
folks should at the very least brush their teeth....some orthodox muzzies will probably say that is not allowed.....but for me and most of those that I know, do brush their teeth.

Not in this company.......smells like mouth farts (bad ones) whenever I am within 5 feet of any of them.

An absolute ****ing ball ache. Hate it and don't usually.
Doing the school run 4 times a week at 1pm. It's ****ing awful. Should be 10 mins there 15 back. because nobody can drive anymore it's nearer an hour there and 90 mins back. The level of driving is ****ing insane, when there's no traffic it's high speed lane changing with poor reaction times leading to inevitable crashes and huge delays. Seen at least one crash everyday of Ramadan and the record is 4 in one journey so far.
I cannot begin to describe how much I hate school run drivers and fasting drivers being on the road at the same time. Today was 35 minutes to do 400m at one point.
I hate everybody that has a car

Very relaxed, I work with Emiratis. The work day either begins at 0530 or 2100 for 5ish hours...less on Thursday, 0900 usually for a couple of hours.

Aussies and Yanks don't seem to appreciate the fact we work reduced hours.
Nor does my boss in fact. Leaving at 1600 still get's those comments.

Ramadan kareem to all,
I am not fasting but enjoying the other aspects already mentioned.
Does anyone have a strong prediction on when eid will begin?
As this affects available days of travel, I wonder how you all manage flight booking.
Best,
KJ
