Buy a metal lice comb from the chemist. Comb conditioner through her hair with the comb for several days until all eggs and lice are gone. Repeat in a weeks time. Do it once a week just to be on the safe side and no more nasty nits.

Not sure if it will work on Lice, but I've found the best way to get rid of crabs is to smear the infected area with Strawberry Jam. It rots their teeth and they fall off.
Hope that helps.

I cannot recommend this comb enough:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nitty-Gritty.../dp/B001PML6Y6
This comb was created by a group of parents annoyed that normal combs and chemcials weren't working and the pandemic issue with head lice in certain areas of the UK.
I've used one on kids and it goes through their hair pretty easily and the little slashes in the teeth remove the eggs. Most of the time one good combing session removes the problem, till they play with other kids that go to school and their parents can't get rid of them (or don't care) Unfortunately rules in the UK mean that even though we've approached the schools and offered to supply them with these combs out of our pockets as parents, they aren't legally allowed to touch the kids hair (doh!)

Why you get lid of lice? Never flow away old lice. Make flied lice, velly nice! Fly onion, fly eggy, rittle veggy, add old lice stir fly with rittle salt and oyster source. Perflect!
