I am the better half, and met my current husband on the Golf Course :)

Friend of a friend.

Met her once, thought she was stunning, then when we were all out I whispered in her ear that I had to make her mine.

Been together just under a year now and wouldn't change a thing about her...except maybe make her a better cook, but I'll live.

At work in the UK, then it all blossomed at the work annual knees-up.

At Hooters in downtown Nairobi. No, she wasn't a waitress but was in a party of a dozen office girls having a night out. Our eyes met across the smoke-filled room...blah blah blah.;)

Had just arrived in Japan. American colleague and his Japanese wife had – unbeknown to me at the time – made a list of nubile ladies for me to meet. Top of the list (for no particular reason) was my wife. Lust at first sight, married within 6 months. Shortly after the wedding my colleague revealed the fact that there was a list. Bastard refused to give it to me.

Through work. I can still remember the surprise when i met him as i thought he had been about 50 over the phone! He tried to get me to the pub half way through our first meeting. I waited a week until i agreed and then gave him an incorrect number (by accident) after our first date.
