Hello! I just popped in to bring you the good news.....
..... that Qatar has become the first GCC state to introduce income tax :ohmy::ohmy::ohmy:
Bill comes into effect on 1 January (although that is simply the bill becoming law - the tax may not be imposed immediately). Still, we're doomed I tell you, doomed........... :( |

I suppose it comes down to what the tax rates are. If it's small, such as Singapore's, then it's not bad. But it will whittle away at the financial advantage of being in Dubai and I would fully expect the company to raise my package to compensate for the taxes.
