Bloody ridiculous.
Al Fayed is a fool for suggesting that fans can go to hell if we don't like it. I know we're known as the cottagers, but that isn't quite the same as kiddie-fiddling.

And he also suggested going to watch Chelsea of you don't like it. Not sure he's got the hang of this running a football club malarky.

Come on you guys. It's a perfectly good statue of a truly great musician and performer. Al fayed was unable to erect the statue outside his beloved Harrods, so why not outside his football club?

It's not HIS club. He's the chairman so you may like to claim he owns it, but a chairman is more of a caretaker, in the same way ownership of a listed building is. A a club belongs to the fans and Alf's comments yesterday have seriously pissed off a lot of people. Telling anyone who doesn't like it to 'go to hell' and to go and support a rival club is out of order.

From the Daily Mail............ fan Roger Bullivant:
‘It’s not right. It should be standing outside the Hard Rock Café or Planet Hollywood. But I guess he can put up a statue to whoever he likes'
