I hate that "just put another jumper on" mentality! It does get cold here. I had two blow heaters in my apartment last winter, and I definitely needed them.

Don't be a sissy. It feels cold when it dips below 5degC at night. It does that in Riyadh occasionally but never in Dubai. Get a grip!

it's a personal thing...
I felt it was very cold last winter...but others thought it was ok...
it does get chilly inside, and with all the tile floors it just feels uncomfortable, especially at night when you sit still for a while...

there's no guarantee...it can be nice and sunny during the day but it might be like the weather we are having now, just a bit colder...
tell them to also pack some long sleeve stuff...

coldest i recorded last year was 9 degrees and it seldom drops any lower in town. If you go way out into the desert or up into the mountains you'll get some frost

it just seemed to be cold for quite a long time this year...made it feel worse...

PMSL - I just love this thread...... If you folks think that 9c is cold, then please dont ever plan on visiting canada in the winter months, where some places are known to go below -35c!
