Health / Medical cards

Um, I seem to have lost mine, along with my labour card,

and I think I may need to go to hospital soon to get my leg checked out, I have fluid all squidgy and shit on my shinbone and its pretty painful,

what can I do? Can I get a new one? Can I get my info and take that instead?

Also how does it work? Do I pay and then show the card and claim it back from work??

ta. (yes I know I'm shit)

Spugsy....you aint havin much luck at the moment, as MM said it sounds like hospital first, when I lost my labour card and medical card the company simply got me new ones after having go to the police to report it lost and get a police report, dont forget the obligatory photo:rofl:

Make sure you go to a hospital that is covered under your medical insurance.

Echoing everyone else on here, go ASAP!

well I know which hospital but our HR girl thinks I'll need the card. I'll investigate further.

It's what responsible people organise when they care about their families.

it would be very painful if it was a blood clot, it didn't look like one to me (my Dad had one last year) but go GMC and get it checked out.

Yeah it sounds like an ordinary hematoma hopefully, probably just need it drained, cleaned and bandaged.

aye it seems that a bruise is basically just blood under the skin, whats happened to me is blood has leaked into the muscle, therefore making it all squidgy and horrible and sore, so I've got anti inflammatorys and some thing to wear over my leg at night.

Dr Emma was ace, (thanks MM) although she has banned me from footy for the next 2 weeks :(
