They recently (year back or so) closed all the "spacecafe's" where you could buy magic mushrooms and the likes, after a few incidents where some guy while under influence dissected his m8 and threw him out of the hotel window. There was also this thing with a guy and his dog.. ahwell.. it wasn't pretty

Look, it's quite simple. One lives in a complex machine consisting of all manner of neurological, hormonal and electro-chemical gubbins. Different stimuli have different effects - booze, coffee, chocolate, sex, thc, peyote, poetry or porn - call them what you will, they are all stimuli that one can chuck into the fuel hatch of one's machine...

There is nothing moral or immoral about what stimuli you choose - it's all social convention that would lead one to think otherwise.
