Have you ever had an 'imaginary friend'?

Re: Have you ever had an 'imaginary friend'?
Yes dear .
Quiet you. Can't you see I'm trying to talk to MacScot .
Right, sorry about that can you repeat that very slowly and in English?
Seriously I don't know what it is but of all the British accents a northern Scottish one is most difficult to understand. Not only is it an accent but they change some of the word so it's like trying to understand a book after all the vowels have been taken out with a vivid marker .
Mind you had Bonnie Prince Charlie been able to convince his Jacobite army to march on London things might be different .

That was always one of the big IFs in history...if the Jacobite army (got as far as Derby..then got homesick) marched on London (virtually no army at the time)..the British Isles would now be known as the Kingdom of Scotland !! A patriotic Londoner wrote a song about the rebellious Scots at the time...'twas called God Save the King !
