Still trying to think what you'd want 24A at 12V AC for... I guess you could rectify it to DC and charge some batteries?

Millhouse, it's for a birthday present for a weather geek. :)
Something to tinker with and put together and maybe power a radio or something. Although not too sure how these things work - is that feasible?

Since it is outputting AC , I presume the product in the OP's link comes with an Inverter ?

what can you do with some 288 - 300 watts ?

I'd go for something not less than 1000watts, for me it would be 3KW
