yes I noticed that as well but I think it's 1 day for us and 2 days for them, we shall see

Does anyone have a 2014 (and beyond) version of this by chance?

Due to continued demand - here is the updated Lush Index v 3.0

As usual - these dates are all based on moon sightings and will probably be incorrect when the time comes, but it gives you the idea...

2015 is a horror for all you Lushes....

Dry day starts the night before. So day before 02nd Jan is 01st Jan. NYE is 31st Dec. You'll be fine. You just won't be able to go out on the 01st Jan.

well if it is sunset to sunset, as long as lunch doesn't extend to 5:30pm, again there should be no problem

Am I being thick? I can't see where it says that NYE or New Year's Day will be dry. The far right column relating to New Year's Day (1st January) says that it won't be.

Read the one underneath, Prophet Mo's birthday on the 2nd Jan, so dry on 1st.

hnd - we in Oman need to be careful though with our plans, since it is an Islamic holiday so the day may move forward a day.... this happened when the day fell on Halloween so there were no "wet" parties in hotels that year.... saying that the hotels lost a LOT of money as these kind of events make a lot of money for them, so you never know. But I wouldn't plan on it.....

Thank you Mikewot and Original Sunshine - I'll now retreat to the corner with my dunce's cap on.

To OS, agree with the need to be careful when trying to plan things. I find it amazing how frequently " holidays " seem to fall a day or so either side of a weekend therefore necessitating a long weekend (often meaning a week) for some sectors

Looks like Hijra is Sat 25th this year, so dry Friday evening. Was trying to book Oktoberfest at Grand Hyatt but only taking Thursday bookings. If the dry day is Thursday they'll change all bookings to Friday.
