Guantanamo Bay
Not sure if this is old news but it seems that Obama will close Guantanamo Bay within days of taking office,
now this really is a good thing, they have got so many people there in the name of terrorism and are basically torturing them and treating them like animals, they should be *****ing ashamed of themselves. |

I never did understand why the USA have a prison in Cuba which is basically anti-American isn't it? Presumably something dating back to the Cuban missile crisis. Grandad will no doubt enlighten me.

He will announce that it is to close when he gets into office, could be about ten months until the last guest leaves.
The US assumed control of Guantanamo in 1903 through a perpetual lease signed then with Cuba. |

Think Obama should send them all to the UK? Lots of rhetoric about how horrid it is, etc...but not a lot of suggestions as to where they should go...no other countries have offered to take them...wonder why....you do know who are being held there, right? Or just horrified that terrorists are actually being held?

its going to be a big problem where to send most of them. They won't want to go back to their own countries as their treatment will be a damn site worse than they've had during the last few years.
