Re: GPS
Well obviously I have the little book thingy, but it gets very very complicated when I have to turn them upside down and stuff to work out where we have to go, plus it's very very dangerous to drive while reading a book . . . So I now want a little computerised voice telling me where to go - means I don't have to take my husband out with me anymore . . . . Or call him to say "I'm at point X and want to get to point Y which way do I go ?"
OK, so maybe asking if they work globally when they have global in the title is a bit blonde . . . duh!

We have a garmin and after trying a friends Tomtom today I'm sticking with Garmin as seems a lot clearer in Sunlight with Shades on and I would say Garmin is easier to use. You can get more voices for Tomtom than Garmin though.
