Default Gotta love GCC economics

From today's Gulf Times (Qatar's crap paper):

'Following a 61% drop in occupancy rates in the first nine months of 2016.....Qatar’s hotel performance declined in the fourth quarter of 2016, continuing the trend witnessed over the past two years, DTZ said in its ‘Qatar Q4 2016’ report.

'Despite the recovery in oil prices, DTZ believes that new public sector office demand will not return to pre-2014 levels....'

'quoted office rents in West Bay falling by between 10% and 20% over the past 12 months...'

'On the other hand, the report said the retail real estate market continues to perform strongly in Qatar despite a reported fall in retail sales of between 10% and 15% since 2015'

And concludes with:

'However, DTZ research shows that retailers across the GCC region are optimistic about Qatar’s retail performance in the short to medium term.'

What a shithole.
