The men who stare at goats.

You won't get it at first, but it sort of clicks halfway through and you think 'I must watch this again'. Set in Iraq, you will feel at home.

Get Tyrannosaur, it's a bit dark but it's bloody brilliant.

Oh and the main guy is a baldy, grumpy scottish twat so you should love it.

(seriously it's class)

Did you see Kick Ass?
Both tremendous films, Kickass wouldn't appeal to everyone mind.

Thanks for the recommends..
Speaking of BBC, we're just watching those Sherlock programmes that came out in the UK last year, they're pretty damn good.

If you're not embarrassed to cry tears of joy, try Field of Dreams and/or The Shawshank Redemption........... two of my all-time top five.

Melancholia
Margin Call
In The Loop
In Bruges
The Guard
Milk
Moon

You Am I

Best action Trilogy - Bourne.

Why is it whenever there are threads like this, people just post weird, arty, shit films that only they or them and three others have ever heard of?

This place sometimes just resembles a pissing contest between ****ing losers.

Commander. Download some funny shit.

Inbetweeners
Superbad
Get Him to the Greek
Project X (good until the final scene I think)
Leon
Heat
American History X
We Were Soldiers

I've watched all those recently (hence why at top of my head).

Leon = magnificent.

If you find the current Natalie Portman to be a bit.... er.... limited, watch Leon.

It was part of my build up to going to Vietnam. Watched Platoon serveral times too, even chucked in Forrest Gump too for a bit of Yank context. Didn't get round to Deer Hunter though - think it's a 'Nam film and highly rated.

I think The Deer Hunter has improved with passing years - it was good back then, and is superb now (if that makes sense). The Russian Roulette scenes are still astonishingly powerful.
