Good DXB hotel to stay at pre-trip home?
 

In another thread I mentioned my wife and I were heading back home this summer on Emirates.

What I neglected to mention was that we were planning on staying at a hotel in Dubai the weekend before we left (2 nights - 1 being the night of a 2:30am departure).

Any suggestions for a decent hotel close to the airport where we can have one night of middle-aged fun, and another afternoon/night of sleep, as well as a decent drop off at the Emirates / International terminal?


Sorry if that's not so coherent. We have family in Japan and I haven't had much sleep in the last 24 hours or so.

Arabian Park Hotel is cheap and cheerful with a nice pool.

Arabian Park is nice and also the Millenium near the airport, depends on budget really

but it's in the middle of bloody nowhere...completely surrounded by busy roads, i can't think of a worse place for a hotel...there must be loads of better places for the same money...

when you are there you don't notice it, it's quite weird actually. They are very cheap though :)
