I checked the various IHG hotels with the friends rate, unfortunately no nice rates show yet.

I can help you get the friends rate at Fairmont for the mentioned day for 870 AED, with the pre-booking non cancellation rate of about 1300 and the normal rate at 1700 a night.

You could even get the royal suite for more than half off, only 2500 a night :P

We stayed for a weekend in Shangri-La last October, think it was about 800dh a night. Fantastic hotel, nice beach and 20dh a pint at pool bar.

Highly recommended if you can get a decent price.

One to One Hotel had some rooms for 500dhs, may be worth a punt. On the island and nice enough restaurants.
