Looks a bit like how I would imagine a neural pathway would look like. It's both fascinating and frightening that there is so much airborn traffic.

This is a good one for Europe, all the transatlantic stuff coming our way from about 0400, the main airports waking up at 0700 and constant traffic throughout the day, dying off after the teatime rush.

Remember that most of the online sites only track ADS-B equipped aircraft. So roughly 90% of the traffic, if they're squitting.
