Re: Global Corona Death predictions
My local BMC (local gov.) representative has told my guys to stop testing and also to stop reporting any cases, that's first hand. While it may be considered anecdotal in the wider scheme of things - it's a widely followed practice in Mumbai.
I'm not criticising India, I believe they have done as well as could be expected. I certainly don't have a third world narrative to peddle, objectivity is the only way to come out of this thing.

(Monsoon has more-or-less reached our town, I think estimated Mumbai by 16th earlier than it used to be.)
Certainly worrying increase in cases in Mumbai and Delhi.
I think India has done better than expected, recovery rate has been OK -------Without the early halting visas etc----just think how many incoming infected there would have been. Without the early lockdown far more deaths.

Ah---I see now. 'Hundreds of millions (especially more than 13 of them)', did not immediately cause me to think of multiplication!!!
The obvious reply is---- why not just write 1.3 billion, the usual description and why not explain instead of laughing!
(I think Scamp is very young ---likes to 'giggle').

I thought India was special because it's so big it's like multiple countries in one? You always discuss it like it can't be considered one country.

Not really----Only if the EU becomes a true federation and the 'member' countries lose their status as 'sovereign nations'-----It is the aim of some EU politicians, that is why many UK people voted 'Leave' in the referendum.
(Other countries eg. Hungary, Poland also 'straining' at EU rulings!!)
