been hearing this since i got here back in 2008.

i'm sure at some point it will come about....but when that 'some point' will be, is like asking how long is a piece of string

For sure it will not apply to nationals and even if it did there would be offsets to nullify it.

Im sure the "tax free" living out here is a con anyway ha, I think they hit you with it in other ways - just not sure what those other ways are � ����� ����

5% VAT from 1 Jan 2018, exemption for 100 essential foods. I wonder if Vimto is one?

I was under the understanding the costs of things in the UAE are based on principle upon the cost of the equivalent of the same product in Britain.

That sounds fair and okay, yet we have 17% tax added in UK.
