i have an unfair advantage that i use google earth a lot especially for motorsports.

think i saw somewhere the maximum score is 32,000, dont think i'll beat my 28k in a hurry though

I struggle trying to work out how to get Russian letters into google to decipher posters / signs to get a location.

lol i look for signs that are easy but thats given me the idea of google translate

whats scary is that plants and building style can get you to within a country pretty quickly.

whats even scarier is that Australia and Africa are almost identical half the time

The best score I got (1m away albeit cheating) was 6479 so x 5 = 32,395.

Guessing the top score is 32,400 if you hit the nail on the head every time.

Agree. Building types and the odd logo can make you recognise a country or at least region.

I reckon a lot of people are good a guessing general areas without realising - like North American mountains / forests I think are quite distinctive.

Australia / Africa I **** up more often than not.
