GBP/AED drops briefly below 5.35........
A spokesman, reading from a prepared joint UK Treasury-Bank of England communique, said:
''This country is finished. It's a pile of crap. If you think the pound is weak now, wait till unemployment soars, industrial production collapses even further, and interest rates are forced down to their lowest on record - then you'll all realise what a pile of vomit we have become. Bugger this - I'm leaving........"
