GB Olympic football team
Made up exclusively of England Players only...
So what's the point...
What a farce...

Whatta loada guff. The whole thing's a complete waste of money anyway. I don't know if you watched the closing ceremony at the last olympics - where they hand the torch on to the next holders, who in this instance turned up in a techno London Red Bus that turned into a stage with all these halfwits dancing around it? What an expensive load of pretentious claptrap.
Steroid fuelled summer camp. They can stuff it as far as I'm concerned

Agreed!
I don't even think that the English players selected would have a chance at getting in the England B team. There is the European Championships that year and they are usually odds on to qualify. Their team will consist of Championship players at best!

[QUOTE=Big Kevin;7615636]Yep, it's right enough. The Scottish. NornIreland and Welsh Football Associations are expected to 'approve' the idea as a one-off for the London Olympics as long as no Scottish, Irish or Welsh players are selected, apparently in case it affects their right to independent representation at future Olympic games.
...just to correct that, it's not Olympic Games, it's independent representation for all four nations at International football events like the World Cup and European Championships that they would be worried about.
