You can buy it draught in Switzerland. I'd heard that it was originally sold both draught and bottled in England, but the draught caused people to become addicted to it (rather than just lathered), and it was discussed in Parliament along the lines that it would be banned if the brewery didn't withdraw it; and the latter happened. However, I can't find any mention of it on Wikipedia, so next stop Hansard... Anybody wiser?

It's rank on tap, it's only sold in bottles in the Toon and rightly so.
