FlyDubai Plane Crashed, all killed

Not in the local news yet, but the BBC are reporting that a FlyDubai passenger jet has crashed in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don with at least 55 passengers and six crew on board.

If true, RIP to everyone.

Now in 7 days and TASS have confirmed it. So sad.

Terrible and tragic news. My prayers with the families. It is a tough time for them.
The unconfirmed video shows the rate of descent was all wrong, too fast.

Many many more deaths through cars yet not reported in the same way. Flying is still the safest form of transportation apart from elevators.

Of course. I reckon birds are even safer. I don't think that's the argument here. Planes, in theory at least, aim for zero failures or at the sixth standard deviation.

What I want to know is... It failed to land on the second attempt after circling for a while. Who makes the decision to divert? Is this a junior piolt decision error or could it be pressure from flydubai to land a half full plane in less than ideal conditions as they didn't want to eat the diverson costs?

Obviously very sad for all those involved but less have died than in a bad day on roads in India.

Doesn't reporting/discussing this fall into the category of creating a negative impression of UAE and ignores the heroic actions of the crew, thereby bringing the state into disrepute, causing panic among the populace and threatening security?

Quit with the facts. It still had Dubai written on the plane.
