Florida must dos

Hi all,

So I am going on a bit of a family holiday to Florida (my goddaughters family) not my usual cup of tea and they have asked what I would like to do whilst there- obviously we have Disneyland for a few days, the family will be having a few days there before I arrive so i'll only have a couple of days in the park as that really is my idea of hell- we're staying in a villa close to the parks but I haven't got a clue what else is there. Universal is the only one I know. So where is a must go, baring in mind I like things a little off the beaten track and a little leftfield. Any suggestions. I'll have a 7 and 9 year old with me though so needs to be child friendly. I'm hesitant over the waterworld type places as can't help but think of Free Willy, I have been to Miami/Florida Keyes before but was working so only got to see a bit of it- not sure how far away they are from Disney?

Any suggestions? Am I actually going to hate it?

KC

Been almost 2 decades since I went to Universal Studioes Florida; it was fun but the lines were soo #$%^# long.

Florida also has good surfing beaches but you won't find the kind of big waves you find on the West coast and places like Hawaii.

Buy some stretchy pants and try out all the fantastic restraunts.
If you go to universal the Harry potter ride is a must.
Have a drink and snack in each land at Epcot.
Buy some mickey ears and wear them with pride around the parks.
Go shopping at the outlets and/or millennia mall.
Get a pineapple float from aloha isle in adventure land.
And last but not least Relax enjoy yourself even if its not your cup of tea your kids will think its amazing
