What a load of carp.
It is symbolic of what can be achieved if enough money is thrown at it as buildings of this height are not so much difficult to build as difficult to justify financially.
If you want to find something truly symbolic of human achievement representing teamwork and commitment....this would not be in the same postcode as my list.
(yes - i have taken a pretty unrelated piece of text in terms of the article subject and blasted it but so what)
