Flights to Dubai from London
Hi all looking to travel to Dubai for 5 or 6 nights in late October any tips on reasonably priced return flights from London airports? Looked at Emirates and BA and looking at approx £500 per person, am I likely to get something cheaper?

cheaper will require a stop over in Istanbul, Amsterdam or Frankfurt

Unlikely to get cheaper to be honest.
Millhouse, be wary of this one. She stalks me on the football threads.

Check Abu Dhabi too. Often cheaper. Only 1.5 hrs away and free transfer to Dubai if you fly Etihad

Also if you book a holiday (via the usual suspects), then the overall cost can be cheaper - ie. your hotels are "free".

And or look at multi stops. Have done that a few times to and from the UK. Tack on flights to another destination later in the year and you can essentially get a free holiday.
Booked one last week to include an Amsterdam stop after a Bucharest stag and it ended up only being 40 GBP's more on KLM than on the budget carrier (FlyDubai) flying direct to Bucharest and back.

Bargain. This is only just refurbed too.
My mum has done packages a few times and had some fantastic deals. She stayed in the Sofatel on the Palm last time.
Beware though to check on here as to what the hotel is like though. The first time she was going to come and visit Old mother dearest was ready to pull the trigger on a flight oand hotel deal staying at The Yorke Hotel...... That would have been an eye opener for her.

The old man once got 5 nights in the JW Marriott and bizzo with Emirates for £2k.
BC on it's own was £3k.
Sister got 5 nights in the Dusit and Emirates flights for £400 a few years back.
There's definitely really good deals if you shop around.

Emirates also fly to Dubai from Stansted, saw GBP 460 return quoted.

<wonders which is actually the worst place at either end of a STN-DXB flight...>
It is technically a London airport which is what the OP asked about. To be honest I was pretty surprised myself to see Emirates crew walking through Stansted, but depending on where you live it's a genuine option.
