Re: Fitness freaks
you can help the obese by dragging their fat asses off the sofa and running them ragged for 24 miles

Re: Fitness freaks
Hello folks, new to this forum and site. So please forgive me if I make any gaffes. Best thing for me is to exercise with someone else. Much more motivating, less likely not to go if you are letting someone down, and you do try harder. Well, that is my contribution, bland as it may be ha ha

Going back over this thread, I was in complete ignorance as to what a hybrid bike was. I actually thought it was semi-electric or something.
Having looked into it a bit more, I sort of know what commander was on about now, at least I think so....a mountain bike frame with road bike wheels, yeah?

Re: Fitness freaks
best core exercise ever..........burpess....end off
do the prisoner burpee challenge, decending sets done with no rest. start with 20 reps then 19, then 18 etc all the way down to 1 rep. aim to complete in under 30 mins
Do full burpee ie chest to floor, full push up and proper jump to reset getting as much height as possible. all in its 210 consecutive burpees and it hurts like an absolute bitch. oh and your core will feel like you got the biggest shoeing of your life the next day!
check out conditioning research if i remember rightly there was a few articles on building running stamina by HIIT sprint training.
mind you, dont know why im telling you anything whilst i am well on my way to being fit again i can safely say an olympic tri would well and truely kick my arse at the moment
