Finance - sales Professionals wanted

OK a person I know just posted this in FB. Hhhhmmm. I was very tempted to make a snarky remark about 'wealth manager' and the sales pitch aspect as opposed to knowing anything about finance. But I could be wrong, maybe it's genuine!

"Life changing job offer. A friend of mine is looking to recruit only 5 of the very best face to face sales professionals for her Dubai office. She will be interviewing in the UK in April
Job will suit someone looking to start a new career in financial services who is dynamic, motivated and hungry for success.
Ote year One - 80,000 - 125,000 GBP tax free
Year Two - 150,000GBP plus , escalating every year. Full training and qualifications provided."

I had another run-in with one of these 'wealth managers' who called me a few days ago. She was all friendly as they usually are as though they're an old pal until I told her she was wasting her time and I never respond to anything through a cold call. She got a bit flustered and tried to make out it wasn't a cold call but she had been given my number by a 'friend' of mine, although didn't have their name or number to hand.

Another number blocked..

Idiots.

Bravo, my attitude completely. 'I have no idea who you are but your friendly enough so here is the key to the safe with my life savings in it.' Yeah right.

Met one of these face-to-face in 1970 in a lift in Jeddah. Told him to vamoose. He is probably now either retired in a tropical climate or doing 99 years in a Federal penitentiary.

Qualifications provided? As in just given to like many people get their driving licences?

Most never earn anything like those numbers and anyone new in and doing that is mis-selling. Pure and simple. The success on that basis will be at the expense of the misguided fools who deal with them.

I never cease to be amazed at the people who fall for the sales pitch and general flim-flam of these sales people.

It's all rather depressing.

Sounds like an advert for those twats whose name we can't mention but rhymes with 'do beer' or is the opposite of a German saying De Front.

Had one phone me yesterday. I said not interested and he asked why, told him if I want to find something I go and ask, I don't do cold callers. Hung up, blocked number.

I always ask them for their personal mobile number as I am busy at that precise moment and will call them back....which I duly do as late at night as possible, and ask them if they find it ****ing irritating receiving unsolicited calls!!
