I watched Transformers over the weekend. Apart from the ridiculously obvious car ads which pepper the film. It's a fantastically enjoyable, brain off, enjoy giant robots fighting experience.
I've read the book as well, and it was always going to be difficult to translate it to the screen. It lost quite a bit through the dramatisation, but some of it came across quite well, like the sheer scale of the cattle ranches, the Mexican guy losing his leg, and the last scene in the slaughterhouse, which really left me feeling quite numb and slightly sick.
