Consumers may have got used to fake goods, but a whole fake store – apart from phoney Apple stores in China – can still come as a surprise.

The appearance in Dubai of a Primark store – where you can walk out with half a wardrobe of clothes and still have change from £50 – has caused consternation among executives at the UK-based store chain.
