40th anniversary of Ian Porterfield slaying dirty leeds, we need to win something soon as those lads will start to die and we'll have no one to attend talk ins and do the half time draws

"3rd Rd always good for upsets. I'm tipping Brighton to beat Newcastle and non-League Luton to beat Wolves. #bbcsportsday "

Great quote from the Manfield Town manager on the Suarez incident (ESPN).......
Its up to the officials to spot any hand ball incidents, as I understand it Suarez did not expect the goal to stand.
Mansfield Town manager Paul Cox: Luis is a fabulous player and has fantastic caliber, his celebration was reactive and was not being cheeky. (Reporter – “Have you been cheated out of it?”) “No, it had taken a few deflections, Suarez kicked the ball in frustration as he didn’t think the goal had stood”. “Just because it’s Suarez everyone has a go at him, if the referee doesn’t see it then what can you do?”.

the Mansfield manager bottled it, during the game he was berating the 4th official saying you must have seen it
the commentator called him a cheat and was right

Re: FA Cup Thread
what I don't understand is why the ref doesn't ask the player
ok the ref didn't see it but from the reaction of the players it was obvious something was wrong, same in the Henry case. Ask the player did you handle the ball ?
suarez would probably lie anyway but the ref would be in the clear

I hate Suarez as much as anyone (never going to forgive the World Cup 'save') but he could reasonably argue the ball just bounced into his hand - in Henry's case, the ball was bouncing out of play and he intentionally dragged it back with his hand, something that, by definition, requires a player to be mentally pre-disposed to cheat.
